The Chief Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita in a Shiur at the Shuvei Nafsi Yeshiva in Jerusalem
The Maran Rishon LeZion, the great Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar Shlita, arrived at the Shuvei Nafsi Yeshiva in Jerusalem, led by the Kabbalist Rabbi Azriel Manzur Shlita, and delivered a Shiur towards the end of the summer term. The Gersham Shlita delivered a deep and extensive Shiur on the laws of the House of Choice regarding whether it is possible to offer sacrifices in our day at the site of the Temple and the prohibition of ascending the Temple Mount.
During his Shiur, the Chief Rabbi Shlita raised an argument against those who ascend the Temple Mount and say that they know the standards and how far they are permitted to enter. Among other evidence he presented, he mentioned the words of the Rav in the rabbinic book of the House of Choice, which required Hananiah Mishael and Azariah to testify to the place of the altar as to its standards and that sacrifices were offered on it, even though there were many elders from the First Temple who could testify to the standards of the place of the altar.
The class was attended by the sages and rabbis of the Shuvei Nafisi Yeshiva, headed by the head of the yeshiva, the Kabbalist Gaon Rav Azriel Manzur, Shlita; the Gaon Rav Shlomo Tam, Shlita, Av Beit Din of Jerusalem, head of the Beit Midrash for Dayanim and Rabbis; the Gaon Rav Netanel Manzur, Shlita, one of the rabbis of the yeshiva and head of the kollel for teaching and Dayanim; the Gaon Rav Yehuda Maravi, Shlita, head of the Kollel for Teaching; and the Gaon Rav Boaz Yochanan, Shlita, head of the Kollel for Dayanim.
